After seven years at the prestigious Ronnie Scott's, London Tap Jam is on the move to a new, bigger venue in hip and happenin' Hoxton! We're really excited about this great new venue -- more space, better sound and light and a fantastic vibe. Plus, we're joined by the brilliant Roxane Butterfly over from Barcelona, who will also be teaching workshops.
Some things don't change: our fantastic live band, The Michèle Drees Trio, will be there, joined by regular host Jess Murray and tap dancers from across the country. Get involved with your instrument/taps/voice, or just sit back and and enjoy.
From 7.15pm, Annette Walker leads the Renegade Stage with exercises for dancers new to improvisation. Bring your tap shoes and join Annette.
At 8pm the jam starts, featuring improvised tap dance and hosted by Jess Murray. Musicians and tap dancers are welcome to play – just tell Melody what you want to dance to.
