“Michele Drees Jazz Tap Project has shown the passion, energy and excitement of the younger generation of tap dancers is as strong as ever” - Drummer magazine (South Bank review)
The Michèle Drees Jazz Tap Project is a spectacular mix of rhythm, tap dance and jazz. This project works towards helping the revival of the iconic ‘jazz tap’ that originated in Harlem, and then became popularised on Hollywood’s silver screen.
Leader of London Tap Jam's house trio for over 8 years, Michèle Drees is an established drummer, Latin percussionist, vocalist, guitarist and composer. She has been active on the music scene for over 30 years, and during this time she has played with artists including Marc Almond, Kirsty MacColl, Ive Mendes, KD Lang, Badmarsh and Shri and Susanne Vega to name a few.
Michèle will be joined on stage by Scott Cripps, one the UK’s foremost tappers.
